Sr. Buyer/Planner

QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (preferred)5+ years of experience in purchasing, production planning, or a similar role from a complex electromechanical system/equipment companyStrong working knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and capacity planningManufacturing experience required; aerospace industry experience strongly preferredAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)Proven negotiation and supplier management abilitiesData-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsRESPONSIBILITIESProcurement & Supplier ManagementLead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management for all production materialsNegotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms to hit cost and delivery targetsDrive supplier performance across on-time delivery, quality, and responsivenessManage open purchase orders and resolve issues including delays, shortages, and quality concernsIdentify and implement cost reduction and supply continuity strategiesProduction Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules aligned to customer commitments and revenue prioritiesMonitor schedule adherence and adjust plans based on capacity, labor, and material constraintsCommunicate clear build plans and priorities across the production floorMaterial Planning & InventoryOwn material planning to ensure alignment with production schedulesEstablish and manage inventory policies (min/max, safety stock) to prevent shortages and minimize excessExecute MRP planning within ERP systems and proactively identify and mitigate supply risks
