Egis has long history of providing comprehensive engineering, consulting, and project management services makes it a trusted partner for regional governments, investors, and developers.Job DescriptionLead the commercial and contractual administration of the construction works on behalf of the supervision consultant, ensuring compliance with the contract and client requirements. Oversee the contractor’s commercial performance, including payment applications, variations, claims, extensions of time, and other contractual submissions. Review contractor valuations and payment applications, verifying measured works, progress, supporting documentation, and contractual compliance. Assess variations, claims, change orders, and extension of time requests, providing clear recommendations to the client and supporting negotiations and resolution. Monitor commercial risks, cost impacts, and potential claims, proactively advising the client on mitigation and contractual strategy. Review contract documents, BOQs, specifications, drawings, schedules, and other commercial documentation to ensure proper contract administration. Prepare commercial reports, forecasts, dashboards, and recommendations for the Project Director and client team, providing clear visibility of the contractor’s financial and contractual position. Coordinate with the Project Director, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Planning, technical disciplines, and client representatives on commercial matters. Manage contractual correspondence, notices, instructions, and other formal communications with the contractor. Monitor the contractor’s compliance with commercial and contractual obligations, escalating significant risks or non-compliances to the client. Support the resolution of disputes and commercial negotiations, protecting the client’s contractual and financial interests. Lead commercial closeout activities, including final account assessment, reconciliation, outstanding claims and variations, and contractual documentation. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Commercial Management, or related field. Extensive commercial experience in construction, infrastructure, or landscape contracting. Strong knowledge of contract types (FIDIC or similar), cost control principles, and commercial risk management. Proven experience handling claims, variations, procurement, and financial reporting. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in commercial software/tools (e.g., ERP systems, cost control software). Professional certifications (MRICS, RICS) are an added advantage.
