Apply & track with Apply EdgeKey ResponsibilitiesOperationalAssists in developing, preparing and reviewing the job budget.Assists in preparing and issuing the project’s cost report.Assists in the preparation of subcontractor’s progress reports and payment certificate.Assists in investigating and validating the source and causes of over budget (over-runs) on site.Assists in preparing/checking project’s variation orders/claims and its supporting documents.Performs quantity take-offs based on contract’s method of measurement with high speed and accuracy.Performs site visits to prepare and update the progress report.Provides feedback and updates of data required for the preparation of project reports.Verifies Purchase Requisition (PR) by checking the quantities against budgeted quantities to ensure that they are within the budget and ensures that the ordered items comply with contract specifications.Analyzes project data to extract “Lessons Learned” concentrating on items that affect the cost of the project for improving budget setting in future projects.Assists and coordinates with the Planning team in the preparation of project’s schedule program (resources loading) and manpower/equipment productivity reports.Develops, prepares and revises the job budget by activity based on the contract documents/requirements and provides summary of the budget by resources type (Materials, Equipment, Manpower, Subcontracts and Overheads) and reconciles it with the Project Manager.Effectively analyzes, interprets and understands the different types of contracts, contract documents, tender documents/queries, scope and specifications to determine direct and indirect cost drivers and risks assessments.Performs and assists in quantity take-offs based on the contract’s methods of measurements with high speed and accuracy.Performs and prepares comparison between job budget and job estimate based on the contract documents and highlights to the Cost Control Manager the items that are not within the job budget.Prepares and reviews the project’s cost report with Cost Control Manager and verifies it with the Project Manager highlighting the accrual cost, forecasted cost, contingencies and over-runs.Prepares and studies cost comparisons, value engineering and feasibility as requested by the Business Unit management.Verifies Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) by checking the quantities and rates against job budget to ensure that they are within the budget and makes sure that the ordered items comply with contract specifications.Verifies, supervises and posts the entry of client billing, variation orders, delivery notes and subcontractors’ payment certificates on CMIC.Exhibits good knowledge and skills in Measurement and Quantification methods.Analyzes Key Performance Indicators for project and provides early alarm to Business Unit management (e.g. excessive overtime, productivity loss, escalated prices, rework, work without instruction, material wastage, idleness of manpower and equipment, etc.).Provides “Lessons Learned” concentrating on items that affect the cost of the project for improving budget setting in future projects.Coordinates with the project managers to ensure that the completion of construction activities complies with the Cost Control requirements and provides the Business Unit management with feedback and updates about the status of the projects.Coordinates, reviews and assists the Quantity Surveying/Operations department in the preparation of claims and variation requests and assists the Planning team in the preparation of Project’s Schedule Program (resources loading) and manpower/equipment productivity reports.Ensures that the Cost Control team is updating the provisional costs, the Client billing and the site progress in CMIC.Reviews the project’s cost report and provides analysis report about the project’s cost performance, highlighting the over budget (over-runs) incidents/drivers and recommends corrective action.
