This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves meeting prospective students and families, understanding their academic background and career goals, and recommending suitable Canadian institutions and programs. The Sr Counselor will guide students through admission requirements, documentation, and application procedures, and will coordinate with internal teams and partner institutions as needed. Daily tasks include conducting counseling sessions, maintaining accurate student records, managing follow-ups, participating in education fairs or events, and meeting assigned conversion and service quality targets. The role also includes staying updated on Canadian education systems, visa guidelines, and institutional policies to provide accurate, current information.Qualifications Strong student counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess academic profiles and career goals.Knowledge of Canadian higher education systems, admission processes, and visa/immigration guidelines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.Ability to manage multiple student cases, maintain detailed records, and follow up systematically to ensure closures.Comfort working with digital tools, CRM systems, and online application platforms.Prior experience in overseas education consulting or student services is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification in education, counseling, or related fields is an added benefit.Strong ethical standards, commitment to non-discriminatory practices, and a customer-focused approach.
