Role Description The Sr. Counselors (USA and Canada) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. The Sr. Counselors will guide students in exploring study opportunities in the USA and Canada, including advising on suitable programs, universities, and career pathways. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, assessing academic profiles, recommending institutions, and supporting students through the application and admission process. The role also involves coordinating visa documentation and interview preparation, providing pre-departure orientations, and maintaining accurate records for each student. Sr. Counselors will collaborate with internal teams and international partners, contribute to marketing and outreach activities, and ensure a high standard of service and compliance with institutional and immigration requirements.Qualifications Strong counseling and advisory skills, with experience guiding students on international education options, particularly in the USA and Canada.Solid understanding of university admission processes, visa and immigration procedures, and scholarship opportunities for North American institutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly, build trust, and work with diverse student backgrounds.Organizational and time-management skills, including accurate documentation, case tracking, and the ability to handle multiple student profiles simultaneously.Proficiency in MS Office and common digital tools; familiarity with CRM or student management systems is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field; prior experience in educational consultancy or study abroad services is preferred.Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, student-centered service, and continuous learning about global education trends.Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
