Sr Finance Manager

Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for an experienced finance leader to join a manufacturing organization in Mercer County, New Jersey. This role will guide planning, forecasting, and performance analysis while working closely with senior leaders and operational teams across a global business. The position is ideal for someone who can turn complex financial information into practical recommendations that improve results and support long-term strategy.
Responsibilities
- Advise business unit leadership on financial strategy, performance trends, and key decisions affecting growth and profitability.
- Direct monthly reporting activities by reviewing revenue, margin performance, and earnings drivers across products, sites, and regions.
- Manage the full planning cycle, including annual budgets, recurring forecasts, and multi-year financial plans.
- Build analyses and financial models that help commercial and operational leaders assess opportunities, risks, and business outcomes.
- Evaluate sales activity, customer and product profitability, and cost movements to identify areas for margin improvement.
- Provide financial oversight for capital spending initiatives through tracking, analysis, and reporting on investment performance.
- Prepare clear presentations and summaries that translate detailed financial results into executive-ready insights.
- Partner with finance teams across multiple geographies to align reporting practices, planning assumptions, and analytical approaches.
- Identify and implement improvements that strengthen reporting quality, planning effectiveness, and the delivery of actionable insights.
- 10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including progressive responsibility in finance leadership roles.
- Background in commercial finance, business partnering, and manufacturing or operations finance environments.
- Strong capability in financial modeling, variance analysis, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Experience supporting global or multi-site business units within a complex operating structure is preferred.
- Prior public accounting experience with a Big 4 or large regional firm is preferred.
- Ability to interpret large and complex data sets and present conclusions clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of revenue analysis, margin performance, budgeting processes, and cash flow forecasting.
