Mobile is becoming central to the company's next phase of growth, and this role will play a defining part in shaping the product experience, engineering standards, and long‑term mobile strategy.The organisation has strong product‑market fit, meaningful scale, and clear momentum, but remains lean enough that one exceptional iOS engineer can have outsized impact across architecture, user experience, and technical direction. This is a founding‑level mobile role with real ownership, influence, and visibility.ResponsibilitiesOwn the native iOS application end‑to‑end across core customer journeys including search, discovery, booking, account, and post‑bookingDesign and define the iOS app architecture, engineering standards, and quality bar from the ground upPartner closely with Product and Design to deliver polished, intuitive, high‑quality mobile experiencesCollaborate with Backend engineers to shape API contracts that prioritise performance, resilience, and long‑term scalabilityEstablish testing strategies, release processes, and observability to ensure reliability and performance at scaleDrive high standards for craftsmanship, performance, and engineering judgement across mobileInfluence product direction and help define the long‑term mobile strategyLay the technical foundation for building and scaling an iOS team over timeMust‑Have QualificationsSenior‑level engineering experience building high‑quality, consumer‑facing productsStrong computer science fundamentals; CS degree from a reputable institution preferredExperience working in high‑bar engineering organisations with strong product and quality standardsHands‑on experience with Swift and native iOS development (depth can vary)Strong product mindset and ability to reason about user experience, performance, and trade‑offsAbility to operate with high ownership in ambiguous, early‑stage or evolving environments
