Sr. Manager, Nogales PurchasingThis role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales Productivity & Purchasing group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Ensure timely and continuous flow of supply, to meet both current and future production requirements, and (ii) Direct the tactical purchasing activities for Nogales operations ensuring compliance to all safety guidelines. Requires 10+ years' experience in a Purchasing role with experience in supply chain, Prior management experience and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area, APICS certification or equivalent.Manage the Direct and MRO purchasing team and ensure continuity of supply for Mexico OperationsFull Raw Material Inventory accountability. Develop a purchasing strategy that ensures supply, but enables the plant to comply with Working Capital targets for the BusinessProvide analytics and feedback to the Sourcing team in order to modify key parameters such as MOQ & Lead Times for planned inventory reductionsManage 3PL relationships and contracts. Tasked with reducing Operating cost and Space utilization for raw material storageWork in coordination with Sourcing, Engineering and NPI to design the supply chain requirements for new productsEnsure timely and continuous flow of supply, to meet both current and future production requirementsDirect the tactical purchasing activities for Nogales operations ensuring compliance to all safety guidelinesServe as escalation point for highly complex procurement issue resolution to support the MDI process; assess and establish new protocols and processes, and provide issue resolution to suppliers as neededOversee the purchasing activities for all raw & MRO materials, including order expediting and the implementation and maintenance of policies and proceduresProtect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidentialMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesContribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as neededMotivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team membersDrive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policiesMaintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communicationsLead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CGI mission, vision and values.Education/Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business (Master Preferred)APICS certification or equivalentExperience:10+ years experience in supply chain Prior management experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Highly analytical.ERP in-depth knowledge (SAP Preferred)Advanced knowledge of industry trends and supplier capabilities. Working knowledge of all commodities, and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processesAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and related applicationsAble to manage supplier negotiationsOther:Advanced English proficiencyAbility to travel up to 15%, internationally
