Sr. Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – MEP to join our team.The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the mechanical scope of MEP projects, including HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems, from technical review and site execution through testing, commissioning, and final handover.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with MEP contracting companies in the UAE, with strong technical knowledge, site execution experience, and the ability to lead and coordinate mechanical works across multiple project stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage mechanical engineering works for MEP projects from design and technical review through execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, material submittals, and related project documentation.Ensure mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and applicable authority requirements.Oversee the installation and execution of HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems.Coordinate technical and site requirements with consultants, clients, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.Supervise site activities, monitor progress, and ensure mechanical works meet required quality and safety standards.Identify technical and coordination issues and provide practical engineering solutions to avoid delays and rework.Prepare and review method statements, technical proposals, RFIs, material requirements, progress reports, and other engineering documentation.Coordinate with procurement teams regarding technical specifications, material requirements, approvals, and delivery priorities.Monitor project schedules, manpower requirements, material availability, and mechanical work progress.Attend technical, coordination, and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.Coordinate and oversee testing & commissioning activities, inspections, snag rectification, and final project handover.Support cost control and ensure mechanical works are executed efficiently within approved project requirements and budgets.Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers, supervisors, foremen, and site teams.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience with MEP contracting companies in the UAE.Strong hands-on experience in HVAC, chilled water systems, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems.Strong knowledge of MEP construction practices, technical drawings, material submittals, method statements, and testing & commissioning procedures.Good understanding of applicable UAE authority requirements, codes, and international engineering standards.Proven experience in site execution, project coordination, and mechanical project delivery.Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.Must be willing to work and relocate to project locations across any Emirate in the UAE.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person – UAE
