Sr. Platform Engineering Manager

Senior Engineering Manager – PlatformWe’re working with a growing SaaS company that is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead its Platform team.This person will be responsible for a team working on the core platform behind the company’s product. We’re looking for someone who has experience managing strong engineers and understands the challenges that come with scaling a data-heavy SaaS platform in the cloud.This is not a DevOps or infrastructure management role. The ideal background is someone who has led software engineers working on backend, platform, and data-intensive systems.ResponsibilitiesLead a team of senior software and platform engineersOwn delivery and technical direction across the core platformWork closely with engineers on architecture and technical decisionsImprove scalability, reliability, and performance as usage growsPartner with product and engineering leadership on prioritiesHelp hire and grow the engineering teamKeep the team focused on shipping while making the right longer-term technical investmentsWhat We’re Looking ForExperience managing software engineering teamsStrong background with cloud-based SaaS productsExperience with large-scale data platforms or distributed systemsStrong backend and cloud architecture knowledgeComfortable getting into technical discussions with senior engineersExperience scaling systems as product usage and data volume increaseExperience in a startup or growth-stage technology company is a plusCompensationApproximately $200K base + equityThis is a good fit for an engineering manager who has stayed technical and has experience owning an important part of a SaaS platform while leading a strong team.
