SR. REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF ULTIMATE NORTHYouth & Travel Lacrosse OrganizationPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Sr. Regional Director is responsible for the leadership, administration, programming, coaching, and growth of a regional lacrosse market. The Sr. Regional Director serves as a primary resource for coaches, players, and families and works closely with senior leadership to ensure the program operates effectively and delivers a high-quality experience.This is a highly visible, builder, on-field leadership role. The Sr. Regional Director is expected to spend significant time at practices, trainings, tournaments, and club events, actively coaching alongside the organization's coaches and building relationships with players.The Sr. Regional Director should know every player by name, understand their development, and be a familiar and trusted presence on the field. While the role includes significant administrative and operational responsibilities, the Sr. Regional Director should be seen first and foremost as a leader of the player and coaching experience.This role will have direct responsibility for ULTIMATE DE and will support ULT North.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. ON-FIELD LEADERSHIP & COACHINGMaintain a strong and consistent presence at practices, trainings, tournaments, and organizational events.Actively coach alongside Head Coaches and other staff on the field.Spend meaningful time working directly with players rather than operating solely from an administrative role.Make an effort to know every player's name, position, strengths, areas for development, and overall experience within the organization.Build relationships with players across all teams and age groups within the region.Observe practices and games to understand the quality of coaching and player development.Provide coaches with constructive feedback, support, and resources.Help ensure coaching staff are delivering a consistent player-development philosophy.Step in to coach or provide coverage when Head Coaches or assistant coaches are unavailable.Coordinate swing or substitute coaches when necessary.Support the development and professional growth of coaches.Be highly visible and accessible to players and families at practices and events. 2. PLAYER DEVELOPMENT & EXPERIENCEThe Sr. Regional Director plays a direct role in ensuring every player has a positive and meaningful experience.Understand the development of players across the region.Monitor player engagement, development, and progression.Identify opportunities for additional training, programming, or support.Help create a culture where players feel known, valued, challenged, and supported.Be accessible to players and families at practices, tournaments, and events.Help ensure the organization delivers on its player-development philosophy both on and off the field.3. TOURNAMENT & EVENT ADMINISTRATIONAssist with the selection and registration of teams for the annual tournament calendar.Confirm team participation and attendance at tournaments and events.Monitor registration and payment deadlines and ensure tournament balances are paid on time.Manage tournament waivers and required player documentation.Ensure teams have complete rosters and appropriate player participation.Identify and resolve roster issues, including low numbers, missing goalies, or other coverage concerns.Coordinate and distribute tournament logistics approximately one week prior to each event.Provide coaches and families with dates, times, locations, field maps, schedules, parking, and other relevant information.Communicate schedule changes and important updates in a timely manner.Coordinate coach travel arrangements, including hotels and rental cars when necessary.Complete hotel credit card authorization forms and other required travel documentation.4. TEAM MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATIONMaintain accurate and up-to-date schedules within the organization's team management platform.Input practices, tournaments, clinics, and other events.Maintain accurate contact information for players, families, coaches, Team Parents, and other team volunteers.Set up and manage registrations for camps, clinics, leagues, and other programming.Ensure registration information is accurate and current.Use organizational technology platforms effectively to support communication and administration. 5. PLAYER & FAMILY EXPERIENCEServe as a primary resource for families and provide responsive, professional customer service.Build relationships with families and understand the experience of players within the program.Support Team Parents and other team volunteers.Communicate schedules, programming updates, tournament information, and team updates.Help families understand organizational decisions, policies, and programming.Address concerns professionally and work toward appropriate solutions.Coordinate opportunities that build community and engagement among players and families.Organize periodic player and family events that support the organization's mission and culture.Look for opportunities to strengthen the connection between players, families, coaches, and the broader organization.6. ANNUAL CALENDAR & PROGRAMMINGDevelop and maintain the annual regional calendar in coordination with senior leadership.Coordinate practices, tournaments, training opportunities, events, and other programming.Oversee existing youth and supplemental programs, which may include:Youth introductory programsWinter programsSummer programsCampsClinicsPosition-specific trainingLeaguesOther seasonal programmingEvaluate existing programs and identify opportunities to improve participation and quality.Help develop new programming that creates additional opportunities for players and families.Identify programs that introduce new players to the organization and create a pathway into travel/club teams.Ensure regional programming aligns with the organization's overall strategy.7. COMMUNICATIONSend regular regional communications with key information for players, families, and coaches.Respond to family, coach, and staff communications in a timely and professional manner.Provide designated opportunities for families to connect with regional leadership.Communicate schedule changes, programming updates, tournament information, and other important announcements.Ensure communication is clear, consistent, timely, and aligned with organizational standards.Proactively communicate rather than waiting for families or coaches to ask for information.8. COMMUNITY OUTREACH & PARTNERSHIPSDevelop relationships with schools, recreation departments, youth associations, and other community organizations.Introduce programming to new families and potential players.Develop partnership opportunities that create pathways into the organization.Coordinate clinics, introductory programs, coaches' clinics, and other community initiatives.Host programs and events that showcase the organization.Identify opportunities to increase participation and introduce new players to lacrosse.Work closely with senior leadership on partnership strategy and priorities.9. MARKET & PROGRAM GROWTHKnow Your PlayersThe Sr. Regional Director is expected to know the players in the region—not just the rosters. Know their names, understand their development, build relationships with them, and take an active interest in their experience.Lead From the FieldThis is not a desk-only leadership position. The Sr. Regional Director should be actively involved in coaching, player development, practices, and tournaments alongside the coaching staff.Be a Problem SolverWhen an issue arises, take the lead. Preferably at the collegiate level.· Must be local to the Philadelphia and Delaware markets that we operate in.· Must have previous coaching and lacrosse programming experience.· Must have 4 – 5 years working experience· Availability to start some weekday work-days at 7:00AM to match operating hours of Managing Director.
