The organization values safety, environmental awareness, and exceptional guest experiences.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site SSI Dive Instructor role based in Port Blair. The SSI Dive Instructor will conduct SSI-certified dive courses, including theory sessions, confined water training, and open water dives for new and continuing divers. Daily responsibilities include briefing and debriefing guests, supervising dive activities, conducting safety checks, maintaining and organizing diving equipment, and ensuring adherence to all SSI and local safety standards. The role involves guiding fun dives, supporting resort operations related to diving activities, providing clear and friendly customer service, and promoting responsible and environmentally conscious diving practices. The instructor will collaborate with the dive center team to plan schedules, support logistics, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and professional atmosphere for guests and colleagues.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Scuba Diving Instruction and training divers at different certification levels.Candidates should possess solid practical abilities in Diving and Scuba Diving, including safe dive planning and in-water supervision.Candidates should possess experience with recognized dive training agencies such as SSI; familiarity with PADI standards and crossovers is beneficial.Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, including clear communication, patience, and a guest-focused approach.Current SSI Instructor certification (or eligibility to cross over) and up-to-date professional dive insurance.Valid medical fitness to dive and current CPR/First Aid certification.Strong commitment to dive safety, environmental stewardship, and inclusive teaching practices.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and collaborate effectively in a multicultural team.
