قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجStaff Accountant Hybrid schedule available after trainingPosition SummaryThe Staff Accountant supports the daily accounting and financial operations of the bank by performing general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and other routine accounting functions. This position works closely with the Controller and accounting team to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately, accounts are reconciled timely, and the bank’s financial records remain complete and reliable. The Staff Accountant also assists with month-end and year-end close, regulatory reporting, audits and examinations, and financial research. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work within the regulatory and control environment of a nationally chartered community bank. Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant accounting experience may be considered2–4 years of accounting experience preferred; banking or financial institution accounting experience strongly preferredWorking knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparationExperience with bank accounting, regulatory reporting, or Call Report preparation preferredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to learn and effectively use the bank’s core, general ledger, and financial reporting systems Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general ledger accounting, including preparing and posting journal entries and maintaining supporting documentationReconcile general ledger, correspondent bank, cash, and other balance sheet accounts and research discrepanciesAssist with daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting processes and financial closeAssist with preparation of internal financial statements, management reports, schedules, and supporting financial analysisSupport accounts payable, expense accounting, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general accounting functions as assignedAssist the Controller and CFO with Call Report preparation, regulatory reporting, and supporting schedulesResearch and resolve accounting differences, outstanding items, and unusual transactions in coordination with other bank departmentsMaintain accurate accounting records and documentation in accordance with internal controls, GAAP, bank policies, and applicable regulatory requirementsProvide documentation and support for internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and financial reviewsAssist with budgeting, financial projects, process improvements, and other accounting initiatives as assigned CompetenciesStrong accounting aptitude with exceptional attention to detail and accuracyAnalytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve financial discrepanciesStrong organizational skills and ability to meet recurring daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlinesAbility to understand how individual transactions affect the general ledger and overall financial statementsDependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across departmentsStrong commitment to internal controls, confidentiality, and the integrity of the bank’s financial recordsAbility to adapt as the bank grows and take on increasingly complex accounting and financial responsibilities General RequirementsMust be able to lift and carry up to 10 poundsSome travel to branch or offsite locations may be requiredAbility to sit, stand, and operate a computer for extended periods of timeMust comply with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsMaintain a professional appearance and demeanorDemonstrate confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment in all interactionsMust be able to work evenings and weekends as business needs dictate
