Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantLocation: Orange County, CASchedule: OnsiteSalary: Up to $85,000Type: Direct HireWe’re seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with a company in Orange County. This position will have a broad accounting focus and is a good fit for someone who enjoys being involved in multiple areas of the accounting process.What You’ll Do:• Support month end close and general ledger accounting• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions• Review and research account discrepancies• Assist with customer and vendor account activity• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation• Prepare accounting reports and schedules• Assist with other accounting projects as neededWhat We’re Looking For:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required• 3+ years of accounting experience• Experience with AP, AR, and general ledger accounting• Strong account reconciliation and journal entry experience• Experience supporting month end close• Working knowledge of GAAP• Experience using an ERP or accounting system• Strong Excel skills including formulas, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and SUMIFS• Manufacturing or distribution experience is a plusThis is a hands on accounting role with exposure to several areas of the accounting function.
