We are a growing, team-oriented organization focused on providing quality products, reliable service, and strong support to our customers.Role Description The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Hialeah, FL. This position will work closely with and provide direct support to the Financial Controller, assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger activities, bank and account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.The Staff Accountant will help maintain accurate financial records, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. The role will also collaborate with operations and other departments to resolve billing, inventory, and accounting discrepancies and support financial analysis and reporting as needed.This is a high-visibility position with regular interaction with the Financial Controller and company leadership, providing an opportunity to gain broad exposure to the company's financial and operational activities.Qualifications3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a distribution, manufacturing, construction, or similar operational environment.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting fundamentals, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.Hands-on experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, and expense processing.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and working with and analyzing large data sets.Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems. Sage 100 experience is a plus but not required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies and follow issues through resolution.High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, organization, and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across accounting, operations, and management.Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience in distribution, manufacturing, construction, home building, or other inventory-based businesses.Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations.Familiarity with internal controls, accounting procedures, and process improvement.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
