Staff Accountant (Entry-Level)

We are partnering with a multi-billion dollar organization that is searching for a Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while gaining hands-on exposure to the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations. This position will operate in a primarily remote capacity, with occasional in-office visits for trainings. The candidate must be local to Dallas area and we are targeting a base salary of $55,000.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesPrepare and post journal entriesPerform general ledger account reconciliationsPrepare bank and balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assetsSupport the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reportingResearch and resolve account discrepanciesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as neededProvide documentation and support for external auditsMaintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentationAssist with process improvements and special accounting projectsPartner with other departments to gather information and resolve accounting-related questionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting is required0 years of accounting experience; relevant internships are welcomedBasic understanding of GAAP and accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to learn and take on additional responsibilitiesPreferred QualificationsPrevious accounting internship or related work experienceExperience with an ERP or accounting systemInterest in pursuing a CPA or other professional certification
