This role operates across multiple teams, influencing architecture, platform direction, and engineering excellence while enabling scalable, innovative customer experiences.This role is onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.What You'll DoDefine and drive the mobile engineering strategy for GameStop's PowerPacks ecosystem.Lead architecture and design decisions across multiple products and engineering teams.Build scalable frameworks, standards, and reusable solutions that improve development efficiency and consistency.Solve complex technical challenges related to performance, reliability, scalability, and security.Partner with Engineering, Product, and Business leaders to align technology investments with business objectives.Provide technical mentorship to Lead and Senior Engineers.Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, observability, and continuous delivery.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve customer and business outcomes.What You'll BringExpert-level React Native and TypeScript practicesExperience shipping and maintaining production iOS and Android apps, including App Store and Google Play release processesStrong understanding of state management tradeoffs: server state, form state, and local UI stateExperience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs (Axios, Apollo, or similar)Experience with a mobile component library or design system (React Native Paper, NativeBase, Tamagui, or similar)Familiarity with React Navigation or Expo RouterComfort writing tests and working with mobile e2e test suites (Detox, Maestro, or Appium)Experience in a fast-paced ecommerce environment, including familiarity with checkout and payment flowsProficiency with Git-based workflows and mobile CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Fastlane, or similar)Strong communication skills and experience mentoring other engineersEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor.
