OverviewPlay a vital role in supporting critical national security operations by joining our team in Arlington as an Administrative Assistant/Staff Officer. In this position, you will apply your exceptional organizational and communication skills to process military and civilian awards, manage staff action packages, and provide senior-level administrative support within the J2 directorate. This is an opportunity to work alongside senior intelligence professionals at the forefront of the Intelligence Community, directly contributing to the mission readiness and recognition of the workforce that safeguards our nation.Work Schedule and Location:This role is 100% onsite at J2 Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia.ResponsibilitiesProcessing Military and Civilian Evaluations and Awards, serving as the primary point of contact for award recommendations and evaluation packages within J21Preparing and editing staff packages for executive review, signature, and filing, with emphasis on civilian award recommendations, military/civilian letters, and internal/external memorandumsReceiving, processing, staffing, and tracking staff actions throughout their entire life cycle in support of J21 tasking systemsPerforming requirements processing in DARTS and ETMS2 in support of award and evaluation workflowsUpdating and maintaining relevant databases, shared drives, and SharePoint to ensure accurate tracking of awards and evaluation statusProviding senior-level staff action support to task managers and subordinate organizations as requiredPreparing packages and communications for review and routing, ensuring completion within specified suspense dates with a high degree of accuracyProviding general administrative support via in-person, telephone, and email communications as directed by J21 leadershipRequired Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph3+ years of experience in administrative or operational support to DoD or IC elementsWorking knowledge of military and civilian evaluation and awards processes, including familiarity with military terminology and staff action workflowsHigh level of skill in oral and written communication, with the ability to produce clear, concise products while handling sensitive matters with discretionWorking knowledge of regulations, directives, and procedures governing the control of highly classified materialsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Working knowledge of SharePoint and shared drive managementAbility to type a minimum of 30 words per minuteDesired QualificationsGeneral knowledge of OSD, Defense agencies, Military Departments, and the IC to understand organizational relationships and external coordination requirementsFamiliarity with DARTS, ETMS2, or similar DoD tasking and requirements management systemsFamiliarity with the J2 directorate mission, functions, and organizational relationshipsFWI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
