Because they handle a company’s actual cash flow, there is zero room for error.What You'll DoSet Technical Direction: Architect solutions across the full stack and partner with founders to translate complex business goals into clear technical roadmaps.Own Core Infrastructure: Drive data integrity and uptime-sensitive changes end-to-end, including complex schema design, migrations, and safe rollouts across Prisma and MySQL.Raise the Engineering Bar: Establish company-wide standards for system design, observability, and incident response while mentoring senior and mid-level engineers.Drive Platform Decisions: Make critical build-vs-buy choices that balance immediate execution velocity with long-term platform maintainability.What We're Looking For8+ Years of Experience: A proven track record owning production systems in high-stakes domains (fintech, infrastructure, identity, or payments) where correctness is critical.Staff-Level Impact: Experience setting technical direction that influences an entire product or multiple engineering teams.Full-Stack TypeScript Mastery: Expert-level fluency with modern full-stack TypeScript, React, and Next.js patterns.Relational Database Expertise: Deep experience handling data integrity at scale and large-scale relational database migrations (Prisma or similar).Startup DNA: An exceptionally high-ownership mindset with the ability to thrive amid rapid change and ambiguous environments.Nice to HaveHands-on experience with Inngest or other event-driven workflow orchestration tools.Experience scaling an early SaaS product through rapid ARR growth.Background in fintech, revenue operations, or complex B2B data systems.
