RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS You will join a team of highly skilled legal professionals and will quickly have direct involvement in a variety of legal cases under the guidance of senior team members. Your tasks will include: - Drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements, including typical industry agreements (Purchase and sale, Logistics services, Standard terms and conditions etc.); - Advise on a wide range of legal issues to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including with respect to corporate development, commercial and contractual matters, subsidiary governance, regulated markets; - Manage processes and procedures for board and shareholders meetings, familiarizing with corporate local laws; - Conducting legal research; - Assisting with day-to-day management of legal and compliance matters; - Assisting with implementation, administration and enforcement of core corporate policies/procedures (contract database management, legal server housekeeping); - Participating in meetings and/or conference calls with internal clients to discuss their projects; Following up on internal client requests and drafting opinions and documents under the supervision of the senior member in charge; - Becoming rapidly involved in knowledge sharing; and Fostering solid lines of communication with the other leaders, inducing them to seek advice/guidance before undertaking any action that may entail legal consequences. Your profile - You hold a university degree in law (Master 1 or 2), ideally completed by an L.L.M. degree in an English-speaking country; - You have gained some initial professional experience through internships in international law firms or in the natural resources industry, preferably mining;- You are looking for an internship of up to 12 months which is covered by a University/Business School agreement;- Bilingualism (French/English) is essential; - Ability to work at an equally high level in each language (both spoken and written). Portuguese and/or Spanish would be an asset; - You are able to draft a wide range of commercial agreements, under minimal supervision, in both French and English; - You have proven listening skills and analytical rigor which enable you to gain the trust of internal and external stakeholders; and - You are open-minded, dynamic, flexible, and capable of working in a team in an organized and independent manner.
