Steel Structural Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Steel Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE.Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures in accordance with applicable international codes and project specifications.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and technical submissions.
• Carry out steel connection design using IDEA StatiCa.
• Coordinate with drafting, fabrication, production, and project teams to ensure design requirements are properly implemented.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and attend technical meetings to obtain necessary design approvals.
• Should have, or be willing to obtain, SOE Card & Dubai Municipality G+1 Steel Contracting License.
• Review fabrication and shop drawings and provide technical support to resolve fabrication and site-related design issues.
• Perform manual calculations and independent verification of connection forces, bolt capacities, weld strengths, plate bending, block shear, and other applicable limit states.
• Design anchor bolt systems, including cast-in anchors and post-installed mechanical or chemical anchors, considering tension, shear, combined loading, concrete breakout, pullout, pry-out, and edge-distance effects.Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Strong experience in steel structure analysis and design.
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, IDEA StatiCa, Limcon, RAM Connection, Prokon, Hilti, Fischer, ComFlor deck analysis, or similar engineering software.
• Very good knowledge of relevant design codes and standards, including:ASCE 7AISC 360BS EN / EurocodesDubai Municipality (DM) Codes and RegulationsIBC and UBC
• Sound technical knowledge of steel fabrication processes, detailing, and construction practices.
• Experience coordinating with authorities and obtaining design approvals.
