LMES Academy currently conducts hands-on science workshops for school students under the brand name “Big Bang.” With plans for expansion this year, the organization offers growth opportunities and a dynamic environment for team members who are passionate about education and STEM.Role Description The STEM Instructor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The instructor will design and deliver engaging STEM lessons and workshops, focusing on practical experiments and conceptual understanding for school-age students. Daily responsibilities include planning curriculum-aligned activities, preparing teaching materials and lab setups, facilitating interactive classroom and workshop sessions, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment. The STEM Instructor will also collaborate with other educators to improve program content, provide feedback on student progress, and support outreach activities for LMES Academy’s “Big Bang” workshops and other initiatives.Qualifications Teaching and STEM education skills, including experience delivering interactive lessons and workshops for school students.Strong communication and presentation skills for explaining complex scientific and technological concepts in an accessible way.Background in sports coaching, physical education, or activity-based facilitation to manage energetic groups and incorporate movement-based learning where relevant.Ability to organize and supervise hands-on activities safely, with attention to student engagement and classroom management.Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, education, or a related field; prior experience in STEM instruction or coaching is preferred.Comfort working on-site in Chennai, with flexibility to conduct workshops at partner schools and events.Enthusiasm for science communication, child-centered learning, and contributing to an innovative EduTech environment.
