Enlace also offers experiential learning activities and educational tours that expose learners to diverse cultures, industries, and technologies, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and global awareness.Role Description The Stem Tutor – NSS will provide on-site academic support in Accra to students in STEM subjects, including mathematics, science, and related fields. In this full-time role, the tutor will plan and deliver engaging lessons, facilitate small group and one-on-one tutoring sessions, and provide targeted remediation based on learners’ needs. The tutor will assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with mentors and program coordinators to align tutoring with broader academic and career development goals. Responsibilities also include preparing learning materials, supporting experiential and project-based learning activities, and offering constructive feedback that builds learners’ confidence and problem-solving skills. The Stem Tutor will uphold Enlace’s commitment to inclusive, student-centered instruction and professional conduct.Qualifications Strong knowledge of core STEM disciplines (e.g., mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science) and ability to explain complex concepts in clear, accessible language.Demonstrated tutoring, teaching, or classroom facilitation skills, with experience supporting secondary or tertiary-level students in STEM subjects.Proficiency in lesson planning, academic assessment, and use of educational resources and tools to support varied learning styles.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to build trust with learners and families.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple students, sessions, and reporting requirements reliably.Ability to integrate real-world examples, project-based learning, and basic technology tools to enhance STEM understanding and engagement.Commitment to gender-neutral, inclusive, and non-discriminatory educational practices that support learners from diverse backgrounds.Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in a STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Education with STEM focus); National Service–eligible candidates strongly encouraged.Prior experience in educational programs, mentoring, or youth development is an advantage; familiarity with the Ghanaian curriculum is beneficial.
