Role Summary
The Account Manager leads Surgical Solutions’ managed services partnership within the hospital, overseeing day-to-day operations, team performance, and client relationships. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, this role is accountable for delivering on contractual commitments, developing and engaging onsite talent, driving operational excellence, and identifying opportunities to strengthen and grow the partnership.Duties & ResponsibilitiesHospital & Client Relations:Build and maintain relationships with hospital administration, surgeons, and OR personnel to ensure collaboration and service excellence.Act as a liaison for Sales and Marketing, identifying opportunities for regional growth and territory expansion.Conduct regular site visits to meet with hospital contacts and ensure operational success.Address hospital concerns promptly, ensuring seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.Team Leadership & DevelopmentOversee hiring, training, and performance management of field teams.Ensure field leadership is properly trained and adhering to policies and best practices.Provide coaching, support, and accountability for Account Supervisors/Lead Technicians.Act as a backup for field leaders when needed to maintain hospital coverage.Operational & Financial ManagementManage regional operations, including staffing levels, contract compliance, and financial performance (P&L management).Ensure hospital contract commitments are met, including adherence to KPIs and quality assurance metrics.Support HR and Implementation Teams with new hospital site setups and employee relations matters.Drive digital adoption and ensure proper utilization of the Surgical Cost Management Platform (SCMP).Compliance & CredentialingEnsure all staff meet credentialing, compliance, and certification requirements, including CRCST maintenance.Maintain organized records of medical and credentialing requirements.Oversee adherence to safety protocols, hospital policies, and industry regulations.Technology & Process ImprovementMonitor and improve digital adoption rates for SCMP and other operational tools.Use data analytics to optimize staffing, predict resource needs, and drive efficiency.Provide training and support for new technology rollouts and enhancements.Skills & AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve product issues and operational challenges.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with clients, staff, and healthcare professionals.Ability to collect, analyze, and organize information for decision-making and reporting.Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and hospital personnel.Physical ability to maneuver in clinical environments, lift up to 50 lbs, and endure prolonged periods of standing or walking.Willingness to travel up to 90% within the assigned region.Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital environment, including exposure to bloodborne pathogens and disinfectants.Qualifications3-5 years of experience in Operating Room and/or Sterile Processing or equivalent. Surgical Solutions experience preferred.Prior frontline supervisory experience preferred.Bachelor's degree preferred.Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) certification required; CER certification is a plus.Experience working with hospital C-suite staff preferred.Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).Compensation & BenefitsThis role is paid on an annual basis ranging from $95,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for an annual bonus.We're committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
