The Store Cashier will handle daily billing and payment processing, issue receipts, and maintain accurate cash, card, and digital transaction records. The role includes managing the cash counter, reconciling end-of-day balances, and ensuring proper documentation of sales. The Store Cashier will assist customers with billing-related queries, coordinate closely with sales staff, and follow store policies for returns, exchanges, and discounts. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and organization at the cash desk, safeguarding cash and valuables, and adhering to company standards for customer service and integrity.Qualifications Strong numerical ability and basic accounting skills, including cash handling, reconciliation, and transaction recording.Proficiency with POS systems, billing software, and digital payment platforms (cards, UPI, wallets, net banking).Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact politely and clearly with diverse customers.Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, bill preparation, and verification of jewellery invoices and documentation.Ability to follow standard operating procedures, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical and honest cash-handling practices.Comfort working in a retail or jewellery store environment, including weekends and peak festive seasons as required.Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets) and familiarity with printing, scanning, and maintaining records.Prior experience as a cashier or in retail billing is preferred; experience in jewellery or luxury retail is an added advantage.Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in commerce or accounting is beneficial.
