Team members are encouraged to uphold these values and contribute to a warm, inclusive environment for both guests and coworkers.Role Description The Store Leader role is a full-time, on-site position located in Birmingham, AL. The Store Leader oversees daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, managing inventory, maintaining a clean and well-organized environment, and ensuring consistent product quality. This role leads and supports the team, provides on-the-floor guidance, schedules staff, and helps train new team members in service standards and coffee preparation. The Store Leader actively engages with guests, handles escalated service issues, drives retail sales, and promotes O.Henry’s values of community and hospitality. This position also monitors performance metrics, supports local marketing initiatives, and collaborates with management to improve processes and guest experience.Qualifications Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and leadership.Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns and create a welcoming environment.Experience in Retail Sales, including point-of-sale operations and promoting products.Solid Organization Skills to manage schedules, inventory, and store presentation.Ability to Train and coach team members in service standards, beverage preparation, and safety practices.Previous experience in coffee shops, cafés, or retail leadership is preferred.Basic math and cash-handling skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required in a café environment.Availability for a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.High school diploma or equivalent; additional leadership or hospitality training is a plus.
