In June, we opened our first space in Los Angeles, Petit Le Fil, to better serve our community and support our expanding order volume.This role is an opportunity to be part of an early chapter of Le Fil in LA. It is a position combining ecommerce fulfillment and in-store customer experience, with operations making up a significant portion of the day-to-day work.The RoleAs Store Manager at Petit Le Fil, you will own The Studio end to end: the in-store experience, the team, inventory, and fulfillment of our ecommerce orders. This is a working manager role. You will guide customers through canvases, threads, and projects in addition to packing web orders and receiving shipments. The right person loves needlepoint, leads by doing, and brings order and care to every part of the operation.ResponsibilitiesStore & Customer ExperienceLead daily store operations, including opening and closingCreate a warm, thoughtful in-store experience and guide customers through canvas, thread, and stitch-selectionKeep the boutique clean, well-stocked, and merchandised to brand standardsCoordinate customer pickups and preordersSupport and host in-store events, including Stitch Nights and beginner classesEcommerce FulfillmentOwn fulfillment of ecommerce orders: kitting, packing, and shipping with accuracy and careManage the preorder process: track incoming preorder inventory, fulfill orders as stock arrives, and keep customers informed on timelinesManage shipping supplies, carrier pickups, and fulfillment timelinesHandle order-related customer service, including exchanges and shipping issuesKeep inventory accurate across the boutique and the online store in ShopifyOperations & InventoryManage receiving, restocking, and barcode workflowsTrack incoming shipments from painters and vendorsMaintain organized systems across Shopify POS, Google Sheets, and our operational toolsSupport trunk shows, seasonal launches, and peak-period operationsTeam LeadershipSupervise, schedule, and train the store teamCommunicate with ownership on staffing, inventory needs, and store performanceQualificationsPrior needlepoint experience required4+ years of retail management or equivalent leadership experienceDetail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple prioritiesReliable, self-directed, and calm under pressureComfortable with repetitive, precision-based work alongside leadership responsibilitiesComfortable with technology; Shopify or Shopify POS experience a plusHands-on and team-oriented, with no task considered too smallAble to lift and move boxes weighing 40+ lbs as part of inventory and shipping dutiesDetailsFull-time, in-person at our Los Angeles boutique; weekend availability requiredHourly, non-exemptTo apply: Email your resume to hello@lefilstudio.com with a brief note about your needlepoint experience and your approach to running a store.
