Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Storekeeper is responsible for the proper management, control, storage, recording, distribution, and maintenance of all materials, equipment, stationery, uniforms, training supplies, and student-related items required by the Academy.The role ensures that all store items are properly received, recorded, organized, safeguarded, issued, and maintained, with accurate stock records and timely availability of required materials for office operations, classrooms, training activities, and students.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain all materials, equipment, and supplies required for offices, classrooms, training activities, and other Academy operations.Receive, inspect, count, record, label, and properly store all incoming materials and supplies.Manage student-related materials, including:Books and notebooksPens and stationeryCard holders and identification-related itemsTraining materials and other student requirementsManage and maintain office and classroom supplies, including:Paper and stationeryOffice consumablesClassroom materialsTelevisions and related equipmentOther office and training equipmentIssue and distribute materials to students, departments, classrooms, and employees based on approved requests.Maintain accurate records of all items received, issued, transferred, returned, damaged, or remaining in stock.Conduct regular physical stock counts and ensure that physical quantities match the store records.Maintain proper stock registers, inventory records, issue vouchers, delivery records, and other relevant documentation.Monitor stock levels and inform the concerned department or supervisor in advance when items need to be reordered or replenished.Ensure that all materials and equipment are properly arranged, labelled, categorized, and stored in designated locations.Coordinate the delivery and collection of materials between the store, offices, classrooms, training locations, and other departments.Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of valuable equipment and materials to prevent loss, damage, misuse, or unauthorized issuance.Maintain records of damaged, expired, obsolete, or unusable materials and report them to management for appropriate action.Ensure that returned materials, uniforms, equipment, and other reusable items are checked, recorded, and stored properly.Maintain the cleanliness, organization, safety, and security of the store area at all times.Assist in preparing inventory reports, stock movement reports, shortage reports, and other store-related reports as required by management.Support internal stock audits and provide all required records and documents during inspections or audits.Coordinate with Administration, Procurement, Training, Finance, and other departments regarding material requirements and stock availability.Perform any other store, inventory, logistics, or material-handling duties assigned by management.Required Skills and CompetenciesGood knowledge of storekeeping and inventory controlAbility to maintain accurate stock recordsGood organizational and documentation skillsAbility to count and verify materials accuratelyBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory systemsGood communication and coordination skillsAbility to handle multiple types of materials and equipmentAttention to detailResponsible and trustworthy in handling Academy propertyAbility to work independently and follow established proceduresQualifications and ExperienceHigh School / Secondary School Certificate or Diploma preferredPrevious experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, Inventory Controller, or similar position preferredExperience in an educational, training, institutional, or office environment will be an advantageBasic knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures
