Physical fitness: Since the role may require physical tasks such as lifting and organizing materials. 5. Proficiency in Arabic is preferred, and English language skills are often required for communication. 6. Certification in inventory management or supply chain management can be an advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Receiving and Inspection of Materials:
- Receive and inspect incoming medical and non-medical supplies from suppliers, ensuring the correct quantity, quality, and specifications as per purchase orders.
- Verify product integrity, including checking for expiration dates and damaged items, and report any discrepancies or issues to the relevant departments.2. Storage and Organization:
- Properly store materials in the warehouse, ensuring items are organized in an orderly manner for easy access and retrieval.
- Maintain clear labeling of all items with relevant information such as product name, lot number, and expiration date (if applicable).
- Ensure proper stock rotation (first-in, first-out) to prevent the expiration of medical products and ensure efficient usage. 3. Inventory Control and Management:
- Monitor inventory levels regularly and report on stock status, alerting management about low stock or overstocked items.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a proper record of all transactions related to stock movements (receiving, dispensing, and returns). 4. Dispensing Materials:
- Dispense requested materials to departments within the healthcare facility based on approved requisitions.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of medical supplies, ensuring no disruption to healthcare operations.
- Maintain accurate records of items dispensed and ensure appropriate documentation is provided to the requesting departments. 5. Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Ensure that all stored materials are protected from contamination, damage, or deterioration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including health and safety standards, and internal policies for the handling and storage of materials. 6. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, stock movements, and any incidents of discrepancies, including missing or damaged items.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions within the warehouse, such as stock receipts, dispatches, and returns. 7. Coordination with Other Departments:
- Communicate with the pharmacy, medical, and administrative departments to ensure they receive the necessary materials in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely reordering of stock to prevent shortages. 8. Equipment and Resource Maintenance:
- Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, such as shelving, forklifts, and inventory tracking systems.
- Report any maintenance needs or faults with equipment to the relevant department for repairs or replacements. 9. Training and Support:
- Assist in training new warehouse staff and providing support in the proper handling and storage of materials. 10. General Warehouse Maintenance:
- Ensure that the warehouse is clean, well-organized, and free from hazards at all times.
- Ensure materials are easily accessible and stored in a manner that minimizes damage and optimizes space utilization.Knowledge, skills, and abilities: 1. Organizational Skills:
- Ability to manage large quantities of inventory, prioritize tasks, and ensure materials are stored and dispensed in a systematic manner.
- Capable of organizing and maintaining an orderly and safe warehouse environment to ensure easy access to materials. 2. Attention to Detail:
- Precision in handling records, labeling, and inventory checks to avoid errors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Careful attention to expiration dates, batch numbers, and proper labeling of materials. 3. Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with suppliers, healthcare staff, and other departments.
- Ability to provide clear instructions and documentation regarding materials received, stored, or dispensed. 4. Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to identify issues such as discrepancies in inventory or damaged goods and resolve them efficiently.
- Proactively address stock shortages, delays in delivery, or organizational challenges within the warehouse. 5. Time Management:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work within strict deadlines, especially in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Capable of balancing day-to-day warehouse activities with urgent requests for materials from departments. 6. Physical Stamina and Strength:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing materials within the warehouse.
- Capable of standing or walking for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks when required. 7. Adaptability and Flexibility:
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
- Flexibility to work under pressure during peak times, such as emergencies or when new supplies arrive. 8. Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, including healthcare teams, administrative staff, and logistics personnel.

- Ability to ensure the warehouse environment is safe, with attention to health and safety standards.
- Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials, if applicable, and the use of proper personal protective equipment.Experience: 1. Previous Warehouse Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in healthcare or a related field, handling medical or pharmaceutical supplies.
- Experience with inventory management, stocktaking, and logistics operations such as receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. 2. Healthcare Industry Experience (Preferred):
- Experience working within a healthcare setting or knowledge of healthcare supply chains, including familiarity with medical consumables, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
- Understanding the specific requirements for the storage and handling of medical materials, such as temperature-controlled items or sterile supplies. 3. Inventory Control and Stock Management:
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control, including stock rotation, managing stock levels, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records.
- Proven ability to perform regular stock audits and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
