Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Purpose:The Strategic Planning Unit Head is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic planning, execution support, and performance management activities. The role oversees the development of long-term vision, multi-year strategic plans, and annual operating plans, while ensuring alignment across departments and with external stakeholders.The position also provides strategic governance, execution oversight, analytical insight, and ad-hoc strategic support to leadership, enabling informed decision-making and institutional effectivenessResponsibilities:Lead the development of the organization’s long-term vision, strategic objectives, and value proposition. Coordinate and review departmental plans to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and leadership direction. Support the development of key strategic submissions and institutional strategies. Oversee strategic execution governance, including regular updates, reviews, and monthly execution tracking. Establish and support transformation taskforces and cross-functional strategic initiatives. Coordinate cross-functional planning efforts to ensure organizational alignment, coherence, and efficiency. Act as a focal point for strategic coordination with internal departments and relevant external stakeholders. Ensure alignment of the organization’s strategy with higher-level government, sustainability, and sector-wide strategies. Establish and maintain institutional performance management frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, and monitoring tools. Oversee monthly KPI data updates and ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency of performance reporting. Lead outcome-based reporting and support integration with enterprise reporting systems. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on performance data. Lead institutional research, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making. Conduct portfolio-level program and initiative risk assessments and recommend mitigation actions. Support capability-building and training initiatives related to strategy, planning, and execution. Prepare for and support leadership-level engagements, strategic submissions, awards, and high-visibility initiatives. Lead the unit by managing performance, developing staff, and ensuring achievement of assigned objectivesRequired Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Management, Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. 5–7 years of experience in strategic planning, performance management, or institutional strategy roles. Strategic thinking and analytical capability. Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills. Performance management and KPI design. Executive reporting and presentation. Ability to manage multiple priorities and ad-hoc demands. High level of judgment, accountability, and organizational awareness
