The role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies to support the association’s operational and program needs, including identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for goods and services. Daily responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and coordinating procurement activities to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and compliant sourcing. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, align sourcing decisions with organizational objectives, and monitor supplier performance. The role also includes driving supplier development initiatives and recommending improvements to sourcing processes and policies.QualificationsDemonstrated ability in supplier evaluation and supplier management to ensure quality, reliability, and value.Experience in procurement and supplier development to build strong, sustainable supplier partnerships.Proven skills in contract negotiation to secure favorable terms and manage contractual risks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and support strategic decisions.Experience in or familiarity with non-profit or professional associations is beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.Ability to manage part-time workload independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
