Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the RoleOur clients is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier management activities that support business growth, operational excellence, and cost competitiveness. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving material cost optimization, and ensuring material readiness to support production and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and global supply chain partners to secure a reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective supply base.Key ResponsibilitiesLead strategic sourcing activities to ensure competitive pricing, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.Improve responsiveness and accuracy of material quotations to support customer requirements and business opportunities.Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to meet business, operational, and technological requirements.Manage supplier selection, qualification, and performance evaluation processes.Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to strengthen long-term supply capabilities.Drive material cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement programs.Lead commercial negotiations on component pricing, contracts, and supply agreements.Ensure material readiness and supply risk mitigation for New Product Introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities.Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Global Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and sourcing opportunities to improve supply chain performance.Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability.Lead, coach, and develop sourcing team members to enhance team capabilities and performance.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 15 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Materials Management within a manufacturing environment.Proven experience in leading sourcing teams and managing supplier development programs.Strong knowledge of supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement processes, and supplier relationship management.Extensive experience sourcing electronic components and managing global supplier networks.Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and cost optimization initiatives.Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP (MM Module).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong leadership, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and multinational environment.Fluent in both Thai and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
