Strategic Sourcing ManagerFrisco, TX | Up to $135,000 Base SalaryA leading and rapidly growing company in the private aviation sector is looking to appoint a Strategic Sourcing Manager to play a highly visible role in the continued development and transformation of its procurement function.This is a senior, high-impact opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who wants significant ownership, visibility and influence across a growing national organisation.The successful candidate will work closely with the CPO and senior leadership team, taking a leading role in shaping procurement strategy, developing the wider function and driving measurable commercial value across the business.There are no direct reports, but this is very much a leadership-level position. The procurement team operates collaboratively, with individuals taking ownership across the organisation's overall spend while supporting one another and helping develop best practice across the function.The OpportunityYou will have responsibility and influence across a broad, US-wide spend portfolio, with categories including:Fuel as a primary strategic spend categoryMROFacilities and facilities servicesProfessional servicesEquipment and operational spendAdditional direct and indirect categories across the organisationThe role will involve identifying opportunities within these areas, developing category and sourcing strategies, leading competitive processes and negotiations, managing strategic supplier relationships and delivering measurable improvements in cost, service, risk and operational performance.You will operate as a trusted procurement advisor to the wider business, partnering with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Legal, IT and Corporate Functions to understand business requirements and develop commercially sound solutions.Leadership & InfluenceThis is not a traditional sourcing role focused solely on running tenders.You will be expected to operate as a senior member of the procurement function, working closely with the CPO and playing an active role in its continued development.Your influence will extend beyond your own categories.You will help:Develop and implement procurement best practicesImprove processes and stakeholder engagementSupport procurement transformation initiativesDevelop and share sourcing strategies across the teamIdentify opportunities to improve the wider operating modelMentor and support colleagues through your expertise and experienceRepresent procurement with senior business stakeholdersThe opportunity offers significant visibility with leadership and the chance to help shape how procurement operates across a growing private aviation business.Key ResponsibilitiesFocal point for developing strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned categories and US-wide spend.Develop category strategies aligned with business and growth objectives.Analyse spend, supplier performance and market conditions to identify opportunities.Lead competitive sourcing events, supplier selection and commercial negotiations.Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships.Build business cases and fact-based recommendations for senior leadership.Drive cost optimisation, supplier performance, risk mitigation and process improvement.Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to influence commercial decisions.Support procurement transformation, technology adoption and process standardisation.Leverage procurement data and technology, including Coupa, to improve visibility and decision-making.Track and communicate savings and broader value creation.Play a key role in developing the procurement function and supporting the wider team.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for a senior strategic sourcing or procurement professional who is comfortable operating with significant autonomy and visibility.You should have:5+ years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supply chain or a related discipline.Strong experience developing sourcing and category strategies.Proven commercial negotiation and supplier management capability.Experience managing complex, multi-category spend.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.The ability to influence senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority.Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving change.Strong executive communication and presentation skills.Experience with Coupa or a similar procurement platform preferred.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or a related discipline preferred.Additional information and what to expect:Up to $135,000 base salaryHighly visible role with exposure to the CPO and senior leadershipUS-wide scope across a significant and diverse spend portfolioLeadership responsibility without direct people managementOpportunity to influence and develop the wider procurement functionOwnership of strategically important categories, including fuelExposure across MRO, facilities, professional services and other critical spend areasOpportunity to play a meaningful role in the transformation of a growing procurement organisationA position where your commercial impact will be visible at an enterprise level
