Strategy & Research Analyst

Purpose: Support the Centre of Excellence in developing evidence-based recommendations and implementation strategies through applied research, benchmarking, data analysis, and policy assessments.Key Responsibilities: Conduct applied research and benchmarking on customs, trade, and logistics to support policy development and reform initiatives Perform benchmarking studies and comparative analyses on customs, trade, and logistics Analyze operational challenges and develop practical recommendations to support strategic initiatives Collect, validate, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights Develop executive presentations, research reports, policy briefs, and analytical summaries for senior stakeholders Support policy development, business cases, and impact assessments Support stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions, documenting outcomes and key decisions Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and validate findings Maintain knowledge repositories, benchmark databases, and research materials Support publication and dissemination of research findingsPerformance Criteria: Quality and practicality of analytical outputs Timely delivery of project deliverables Quality of executive presentations and data analysis Effectiveness of stakeholder engagement and coordination Contribution to policy recommendations and decision-making processesRecruitment DisclaimerAs part of its scope, Whiteshield has been engaged to support one of its clients in managing the recruitment process for this position. Applications submitted through this process will be considered solely for employment with the client, and participation in this recruitment process does not constitute an application for, or consideration for, any current or future role at Whiteshield.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in public advisory, strategy, research, analytics, or transformation Demonstrated experience in customs, logistics, supply chain, and international trade is preferred Experience preparing executive presentations, reports, and quantitative analysesCompetencies: Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills Knowledge of customs, logistics, international trade, or supply chain Advanced Excel, quantitative modeling, and analytical tools (e.g. Power BI) Executive report writing and presentation development Research, benchmarking, and business analysis capabilities Strong communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills Ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations
