Strategy and Operations AssociateAbout the RoleThe Associate is a generalist who moves comfortably between defining an approach and executing it directly; this isn't a desk-only analytics role. You'll take ownership of growth and retention initiatives for customers or drivers end-to-end: setting up and implementing the work, coordinating with whichever departments are involved, and identifying and solving issues as they come up, much like the Manager, just at the execution level. You'll be assigned to whichever vertical or project needs you most, with that assignment shifting as priorities change.Main tasks and responsibilitiesOwn assigned initiatives independently, from problem framing through setup and implementationAnalyze marketplace data (Excel/Sheets, SQL a plus) to identify trends in activation, retention, and churn, and model the impact of proposed changes, including promotions and incentivesEngage directly with drivers or customers to validate what the data is showing and understand the problem firsthandIdentify issues as they come up in day-to-day operations, whether that's a supply gap, a spike in cancellations, or a drop in activity, and work through them to a solutionCoordinate with whichever departments an initiative touches, Product, Operations, Marketing, or BD, surfacing issues with clear evidence and following them through to resolution rather than forwarding and moving onConduct market and competitor research to support initiatives and business cases, as neededBuild clear recommendations and business cases for the Manager and stakeholders when an initiative needs a decisionGet staffed onto special projects and regional or vertical launches as the Manager assigns them, executing the piece you ownDocument processes for programs that are currently informal or undocumentedAbout you3–5 years in strategy, operations, consulting, or a related analytical, generalist roleA track record of owning execution end-to-end with minimal oversightStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsComfortable going beyond the dashboard, willing to talk to drivers or customers directly when that's what the problem needsClear, effective written and verbal communicationOn-demand marketplace experience a plus
