Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are currently looking for a Strategy Consultant to support a key initiative within the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) on a 12-month freelance contract.DCT Abu Dhabi is the government entity responsible for driving the sustainable growth of Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism sectors, playing a central role in positioning the emirate as a global hub for culture, creativity, and tourism.This role will support the Gaming Strategy Team in driving strategic planning, performance management, governance, and initiative tracking across the organization. The SMO Consultant will work closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to support planning cycles, develop executive materials, track performance against strategic objectives, and coordinate strategic initiatives across multiple workstreams.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning SupportSupport SMO leadership in preparing and coordinating strategic planning activitiesConduct research and analysis to inform strategic priorities and planning cyclesPrepare briefing materials, presentations, and background documents for senior leadershipSupport the development and maintenance of strategic planning frameworks and templatesTrack progress against strategic objectives and flag risks or delays to the SMO LeadCoordinate inputs from internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across workstreamsPerformance Management & ReportingSupport the design and execution of performance management processes across the organizationCollect, consolidate, and validate performance data from departments and business unitsPrepare periodic performance reports and dashboards for leadership and governance bodiesMonitor KPIs and OKRs, identifying trends, variances, and areas requiring attentionSupport preparation of materials for performance reviews and governance forumsMaintain and update performance tracking tools, dashboards, and databasesGovernance & Decision SupportProvide operational support to governance structures and decision-making processesCoordinate agendas, minutes, and action tracking for governance committees and leadership forumsPrepare decision papers, issue logs, and options analyses for senior stakeholdersEnsure follow-up on decisions and action items across governance bodiesSupport documentation and communication of governance frameworks, policies, and proceduresAssist in the design and rollout of governance improvements as directed by the SMO LeadInitiative & Project CoordinationSupport coordination and tracking of strategic initiatives and projects across the organizationMaintain initiative trackers, project plans, and status reportsCoordinate with project owners and stakeholders to gather updates and resolve dependenciesPrepare initiative-level briefing packs and progress summaries for leadershipFlag risks, blockers, and resource constraints to the SMO Lead for escalationSupport the development of business cases and initiative charters as requiredRequirementsAt least 4-6 years of experience in top-tier management consulting or strategy consulting, ideally at Manager / Senior Consultant levelExperience from MBB or an equivalent top-tier strategy firm is requiredStrong experience in strategic planning, performance management, governance, or transformation programsDemonstrated ability to prepare executive-level materials, briefing packs, dashboards, and decision papersStrong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to work confidently with performance and KPI dataExperience coordinating stakeholders and tracking delivery across multiple workstreamsCore CapabilitiesStrong structured thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate strategic priorities into clear plans, reports, and governance materialsStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracyExcellent stakeholder coordination and follow-up skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prepare high-quality presentations and leadership materialsComfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, and senior stakeholder environmentsProactive, organized, and delivery-focusedExperience & ExposureExposure to gaming or esports sector is preferredStrong working knowledge of AI tools and their application to strategy, reporting, and operations is preferredGCC experience is preferred, ideally 3–5 yearsTrack record of 1–2 promotions within the same firm is preferredContract Duration12-month contractLocationAbu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesInterested candidates are welcome to apply or share their CV for consideration.
