Our model brings together independent professionals with backgrounds in leading consulting firms to deliver tailored expertise to clients.We are expanding our network of strategy consultants for deployment on 6–12-month government engagements, working directly with senior stakeholders to shape strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans.About the RoleAs a Strategy Consultant deployed through ICAN, you will work within a government client’s team as a dedicated strategy expert. Depending on the engagement, your mandate may cover strategy development, sector research, strategic planning, operating model design, performance management, or transformation delivery. You will be expected to take ownership of workstreams and deliver clear, rigorous outputs with limited supervision.About YouYou have experience at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or another Tier-1 strategy consulting firm.You have independently managed strategy workstreams, from defining the problem and conducting analysis to presenting recommendations.You understand the complexities of government environments, including mandates, policy priorities, governance, and coordination across entities.You are comfortable working directly with senior executives and government stakeholders.You combine analytical depth with practical judgment and can turn broad ambitions into achievable priorities.You are available for a 6–12-month contract and able to meet the engagement’s agreed location and on-site requirements.Government consulting experience in the UAE or wider GCC is strongly preferred. Arabic proficiency is an advantage.What You Will DoDevelop or refresh organizational and sector strategies aligned with government priorities and entity mandates.Assess current performance, capabilities, and strategic gaps through research, data analysis, interviews, and workshops.Conduct benchmarking and translate findings into recommendations relevant to the client’s context.Define strategic objectives, initiatives, implementation roadmaps, and performance indicators.Develop business cases and prioritize initiatives based on impact, feasibility, resource requirements, and dependencies.Support operating model and governance design, clarifying responsibilities and decision-making processes.Prepare executive presentations, strategy papers, and decision briefs for senior leadership.Facilitate stakeholder discussions to build alignment and resolve strategic questions.Support implementation by tracking progress, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions.Transfer knowledge and equip client teams with practical tools to sustain the work.About Your SkillsStructured problem-solving: Break complex, ambiguous questions into clear hypotheses and manageable analyses.Strategic analysis: Combine quantitative evidence, qualitative insights, and policy context to develop sound recommendations.Executive communication: Produce concise, persuasive presentations and written materials with a clear narrative.Stakeholder management: Build credibility, navigate competing priorities, and constructively challenge assumptions.Planning and performance: Translate strategy into initiatives, ownership, timelines, targets, and measurable outcomes.Delivery ownership: Manage workstreams, maintain quality, and meet deadlines in demanding client environments.Technical proficiency: Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, with strong research and analytical capabilities.Working with ICANYou will join a network of experienced independent consultants and be considered for government engagements aligned with your expertise and availability.
