Strategy Director

Role Description The Strategy Director role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The Strategy Director will oversee the development and implementation of long-term placement strategies for the IIT Madras B.S. Degree Student Placement Council. Daily responsibilities include analyzing placement trends, identifying new employer partnerships, and refining outreach plans to enhance student opportunities. The role involves collaborating with council members, student representatives, and corporate stakeholders to align strategic priorities with student needs and market developments. The Strategy Director will also monitor performance metrics, recommend process improvements, and support initiatives that strengthen the Council’s impact and visibility.QualificationsStrong Analytical Skills to interpret placement data, market trends, and student outcomes.Proficiency in Strategic Planning and Business Strategy to design and execute long-term placement initiatives.Experience in Consulting or Management Consulting to provide structured, insight-driven recommendations.Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills in cross-functional or academic-industry settings.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.Prior experience in career services, talent acquisition, higher education, or related fields is an advantage.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment across time zones and with diverse student and employer groups.Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, economics, or a related discipline preferred.
