Job Description – Structural Design EngineerPosition: Structural Design EngineerLocation: DubaiExperience: 5–8 YearsNationality: AnySalary: Competitive / Based on ExperienceAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and technically strong Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, engineering calculations, and preparation/review of structural drawings for various building and construction projects.The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction standards and authority requirements, along with hands-on experience in structural design and coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, and other building projects.Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and design reports.Design reinforced concrete and structural steel elements, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and other structural components.Develop structural design solutions in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.Review architectural and MEP drawings to ensure proper structural coordination.Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.Review structural shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documents.Conduct site visits and provide technical support during project execution when required.Identify and resolve structural design and construction-related issues.Ensure designs comply with building regulations, international standards, and relevant authority requirements.Assist with value engineering and optimization of structural designs.Review and verify structural calculations prepared by other team members where required.Ensure all project deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.Maintain proper documentation of calculations, drawings, revisions, and technical submissions.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.5–8 years of relevant structural design experience.Strong experience in structural design of building projects.Good knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.Strong understanding of structural analysis and engineering principles.Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or other relevant structural design software.Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit Structure/BIM is an advantage.Knowledge of construction practices, codes, and authority requirements.Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.Excellent coordination and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.PreferredPrevious experience workingExperience withauthority submissions and approvals.Experience with high-rise, residential, commercial, or projects.driving licence will be an advantage.Candidates available within a short notice period will be preferred.Key CompetenciesStructural Analysis & DesignReinforced Concrete DesignStructural Steel DesignStructural CalculationsDesign CoordinationTechnical DocumentationAuthority ComplianceProblem SolvingProject ManagementTeam CollaborationCompensationSalary: To be discussed based on relevant experience, technical expertise, and current market value.Kindly send your CV at Hello@WhizzHR.com
