Structural Design Engineer

The Structural Design Engineer oversees the structural design aspects of projects undertaken by the contracting company. They ensure that structural designs meet regulatory standards, client requirements, and are seamlessly integrated into the overall project plan.Project Coordination:Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into overall project plans.Coordinate regular meetings and communications to keep all stakeholders informed about structural design progress, changes, and challenges.Resolve conflicts and discrepancies between structural design requirements and project constraints, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.Design Oversight:Oversee the development and review of structural design drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to project requirements.Conduct thorough reviews of design documents, identifying potential risks, errors, or inefficiencies, and implementing corrective measures as needed.Collaborate with the design team to optimize structural solutions, considering factors such as cost-effectiveness, constructability, and sustainability.Quality Assurance:Establish and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that structural designs meet industry standards, codes, and specifications.Conduct regular inspections and audits of structural components during various project stages to verify compliance with design requirements and regulatory standards.Monitor and address any deviations or deficiencies in structural design work, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks and maintain project quality and integrity.Collaboration:Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve design issues, mitigate risks, and optimize structural solutions.Primary Deliverables:Precise and On Time submission of any type of documents/reports/data.Complete tasks efficiently and stay within budget as part of your job responsibilitiesProvide input to other departments or parties as needed on time.Duties & Responsibilities:Develop and review structural design drawings, calculations, and specifications.Conduct structural analysis using software tools to assess design integrity and performance.Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding structural design matters.Review and approve subcontractor's structural designs and drawings.Monitor project progress and address any structural design-related issues promptly.Prepare and present reports, presentations, and updates on structural design status to stakeholders.General Responsibilities:Adhere to company policies, code of conduct, conflict of interest, standards, rules and regulations at all times.Always prioritize keeping employee information and sensitive data confidentialPrioritize and ensure full compliance with the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies established by the company.Accurate and On Time submissions of balanced scorecards.Maintain supportive documentation to substantiate the actual performance for all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).Knowledge & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and coordination within the construction industry.Previous experience in project management or coordination roles preferred.Proven track record of successful project delivery.Familiarity with construction processes and practices.Skills:Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, etc.Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.Structural analysis and design expertise.Project management skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Team collaboration and leadership.Adaptability to changing project requirements.Time management and organizational skills.
