The ideal candidate should have practical experience in precast concrete design, reinforced concrete structures, structural calculations, shop drawings, and technical coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural design and engineering calculations for precast concrete elements and structures.Design and review precast elements including columns, beams, walls, slabs, stairs, façade panels, and other precast components.Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, technical submissions, and related documentation.Review structural, architectural, and MEP drawings to ensure proper coordination and identify design discrepancies.Review and coordinate precast shop drawings, reinforcement details, connections, embedded items, and lifting arrangements.Ensure designs comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable structural codes, and company standards.Coordinate with Senior Structural Engineers, BIM Modelers, Detailers, Production, QA/QC, and Site/Erection teams.Provide technical support to the factory during mould preparation, reinforcement fabrication, casting, curing, storage, transportation, and erection.Consider temporary conditions including lifting, handling, transportation, and erection in the design of precast elements.Review design changes, RFIs, consultant comments, and technical queries and provide appropriate engineering solutions.Conduct design checks and ensure structural calculations and drawings are accurate before submission or production.Support value engineering and identify practical and cost-effective structural solutions.Assist in resolving technical and structural issues during production and site installation.Maintain proper records of calculations, drawings, revisions, and technical documents.Coordinate with consultants and project teams when required to obtain design approvals and resolve technical matters.Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the development of the structural engineering team.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.3–6 years of relevant structural engineering experience, preferably with significant exposure to precast concrete.Experience in the design and engineering of precast structural elements is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete design, precast connections, reinforcement detailing, and structural analysis.Good knowledge of relevant international and local structural design codes and standards.Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent.Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.UAE/GCC experience in precast or construction projects is preferred.
