By applying rigorous technical standards and practical project experience, we help stakeholders make informed decisions throughout the design, construction, inspection, and asset-management lifecycle.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Lead / Building Inspection Manager to provide technical leadership across structural assessment, building inspections, engineering reviews, and construction quality activities.The ideal candidate combines strong structural engineering knowledge with practical inspection and project-management experience. This role will assess structural conditions, review technical documentation, identify defects and risks, coordinate inspections, and provide clear recommendations to project stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead structural engineering reviews, inspections, assessments, and technical evaluations.Review structural drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, and engineering documentation.Coordinate building inspections across structural, architectural, and relevant building components.Identify structural defects, deterioration, construction issues, safety concerns, and potential risks.Assess structural conditions and recommend appropriate corrective, preventive, or remedial measures.Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, project managers, and property stakeholders.Monitor construction activities and verify compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality requirements.Review material selections, structural systems, construction methods, and technical submissions.Support condition assessments for existing buildings, facilities, and infrastructure assets.Prepare inspection reports, technical assessments, defect registers, and management recommendations.Review non-conformances, technical queries, change requests, and corrective actions.Support root-cause investigations related to structural defects, failures, or construction issues.Monitor project quality, technical risks, inspection schedules, and outstanding actions.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and inspection teams.Maintain accurate inspection records, photographic documentation, technical files, and project reports.Support continuous improvement of inspection procedures, engineering standards, quality processes, and risk controls.Requirements3+ years of relevant professional experience in structural engineering, building inspection, construction quality, or related fields preferred.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.Strong understanding of structural systems, building construction, materials, defects, and engineering principles.Experience conducting or coordinating structural inspections, condition assessments, or technical reviews.Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and engineering reports.Strong knowledge of construction quality, inspection procedures, technical compliance, and risk assessment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and external contractors or consultants.Strong technical report-writing, documentation, and stakeholder-communication skills.Ability to identify safety and structural risks and communicate appropriate recommendations.Strong written and verbal English communication skills.Comfortable working independently with international and distributed teams.Professional engineering or inspection certifications are not required unless specifically relevant to the role.What We OfferFully remote, part-time working arrangement with flexibility.Opportunity to contribute to international construction, engineering, and building-assessment projects.Exposure to structural assessments, technical reviews, inspection programs, and quality management.Collaborative environment focused on engineering excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.Access to modern engineering, inspection, documentation, and project-management tools.Competitive compensation aligned with experience and responsibilities.Professional growth and opportunities for broader technical and engineering leadership.A role where sound engineering judgment directly supports safer, higher-quality, and more reliable built environments.
