Structural Supervisor

Scope of Responsibilities:The Steel Structure Supervisor would act as the representative in the Ports Supply organization, performing factory/on-site supervision of crane manufacturing processes, with the main duties mentioned below:Acting as the company representative at subcontractor manufacturing sites.Ensuring that work is performed in accordance with safety practices and applicable requirements.Monitoring manufacturing schedules and communicating progress to the project team.Supervising the fabrication of steel structures and crane components in accordance with approved specifications, technical drawings, and quality requirements.Monitoring key fabrication activities, particularly steel structure fabrication, welding, and painting/coating processes.Ensuring that the specified quality requirements of the product are fulfilled.Guiding subcontractors' activities and assisting them in clarifying technical questions.Identifying and reporting manufacturing non-conformances, including issues related to welding, structural fabrication, dimensional accuracy, and coating quality.Reporting progress, quality, safety, and technical issues to the project/global team.Requirements:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; IWE qualification is an advantage.Preferably at least 7 years of experience in steel structure fabrication/manufacturing, ideally involving cranes, heavy equipment, or similar heavy steel structures.Good practical knowledge of steel structures and welding processes, including fabrication drawings, welding requirements, inspection, and common welding defects.Good understanding of painting/coating processes for fabricated steel structures, including surface preparation and coating inspection.Ability to read and understand technical drawings, fabrication drawings, welding documentation, and technical specifications.Good understanding of crane structures and major crane components is highly preferred.Experience in factory/site supervision, fabrication inspection, or subcontractor management is preferred.Good oral and written English communication skills for daily coordination with international teams.Proactive, hands-on, and able to build effective relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, customers, and colleagues.Willing to travel frequently to subcontractor/manufacturing sites within Vietnam.If you are interested in this position, do not hesitate to get in touch with me via 0949469617 (Zalo) - Trinh Nguyen
