We proudly offer 30 masters, bachelor’s, and diploma programs across our 4 colleges: College of Media and Public Relations, College of Medical and Health Sciences, College of Business, College of Engineering and Computing with the support of the General Education Department.Job Summary:The Student Affairs & Engagement Specialist plays a key role in enriching the student experience by designing, implementing, and evaluating engagement initiatives that support student success, leadership development, and community involvement. The position leads student life programs, including student councils, clubs, events, orientation, volunteerism, and cultural activities, while collaborating across the university to enhance student satisfaction, foster a vibrant campus culture, and promote a strong sense of belonging within the university communityKey Responsibilities:Establish and oversee student councils, clubs, and organizations to enhance students' involvement and leadership opportunities.Create and coordinate a diverse range of activities, workshops, and events that enrich students' campus experiences.Maintains broad working relationships with students, staff personnel, and academic personnel.Monitor student engagement trends and recommend improvements to enhance the student experience.Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the student journey, gathering insights to enhance the overall student experience.Identify areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address students' needs effectively.Oversees student inquiries via emails, calls, and personal meetings, directing complaints to relevant departments and providing students with feedback on the actions taken to resolve their concerns.Create engaging and impactful events that encourage student participation, satisfaction, and meaningful connections.Share insights and strategies to enhance students' career readiness and post-graduation plans.Provide advisory support to student leaders, empowering them to drive positive change within the campus community.Reports and data are compiled as needed in response to University efficiency and performance, external auditors, and accrediting authorities.Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for enhancement in student affairs programs and activities.Analyze student feedback and engagement data to assess program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.Implement innovative strategies and adjustments to improve the quality and relevance of offerings.Monitor club performance and participation levels and encourage the development of new student-led initiatives.Provide guidance and support to student leaders in planning and managing club activities.Promote student affairs initiatives through various communication channels, fostering awareness and participation.Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to ensure effective promotion of events and activities.Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to promote student activities and success stories.Maintain accurate records and communication databases related to student engagement initiativesExecute any additional duties assigned by the Manager of Student Affairs.Responsibilities may be carried out at either campus based on operational requirements.Competencies & Skills.Skill in problem-solving, mediation, and conflict-resolution techniques.Skill in gathering data and assessing outcomes.Skill in dealing with students in concerns and adapt to different cultures and needs.Ability to work with an ethnically and culturally diverse population.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Ability to solve problems and work collaboratively with colleagues to doDemonstrates initiative in independently and promptly completing tasks.Reliable, flexible, people-oriented, and well-organized.Event Management Skills.Qualifications & Experience :Three (3) years of related experience in student affairs, Student Engagement, and Youth Development programs in higher education.Academic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Student Affairs, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.Master’s degree is preferred.
