The role involves providing individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, and career-related concerns. The Student Counsellor will guide prospective and current students on program selection, admission processes, and progression options, while ensuring a supportive and confidential environment. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, maintaining accurate student records, coordinating with faculty and administration on student support initiatives, and organizing workshops or information sessions on well-being and career readiness. The role also involves responding to student inquiries, addressing concerns in a timely manner, and contributing to a positive campus experience.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Education-related skills, with the ability to support learners from diverse backgrounds.Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills to guide students on academic pathways, internships, and future employment opportunities.Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with students, families, and staff.Relevant academic qualification such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Social Work, or a related field.Experience in an educational or training institution, preferably in student services, advising, or counseling.Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate empathy, and handle sensitive student issues with professionalism.Strong organizational and documentation skills, with proficiency in basic office software and student information systems.Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages used in Chennai is an advantage.
