The consultancy works as a committed partner to help students make informed decisions and turn their educational aspirations into reality.Role Description The Student Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajagiriya. The person in this position will provide one-on-one and group counseling to students on academic pathways, higher education options, and career directions. Daily responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, advising on course and institution selection, supporting application and documentation processes, and coordinating with universities and training providers. The Student Counselor will also offer guidance on test preparation, assist with basic visa-related information in collaboration with relevant teams, and maintain accurate student records and follow-up schedules. The role involves regular communication with students and families, delivering information sessions, and contributing to a supportive, professional, and student-centered environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Student Counseling and Education, with experience guiding learners through academic and study pathway decisions.Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills, including the ability to assess interests and strengths and connect students to suitable career and study options.Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and cultural sensitivity when working with students from diverse backgrounds.Relevant academic qualifications in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field are preferred.Prior experience in an education consultancy, university admissions office, or student support role is an advantage.Ability to work in a structured, target-driven environment with good organizational and time-management skills.Proficiency in common office software and comfort with using digital tools and online platforms for counseling and record-keeping.
