This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with students, guiding them through their study abroad journey, and managing the counseling process from initial inquiry to enrollment.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Student Counselor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end student counseling lifecycle, including:* Conducting initial inquiry calls and assessing student eligibility and requirements* Onboarding students into Lanka Academy’s study abroad process* Providing accurate guidance on countries, universities, programs, intakes, and visa pathways* Managing regular follow-ups via calls, WhatsApp, and email to ensure conversions* Maintaining proper student records, counseling notes, and status updates* Coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth application and admission processes* Building strong relationships with students and parents through professional communication* Supporting marketing and outreach initiatives when requiredCandidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who is:* Confident, presentable, and strong in verbal and written communication* Comfortable handling student inquiries, objections, and follow-ups* Able to work independently while collaborating with a team* Proficient in English (Sinhala and/or Tamil is a strong advantage)* Experienced in student counseling or education consultancy (preferred)* Fresh graduates with the right attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn are encouraged to applyWhat We Offer* Competitive basic salary + performance-based commission* Clear career progression opportunities within the international education sector* Performance incentives, bonuses, and recognition* Structured training and mentorship from industry professionals* A professional, supportive, and growth-oriented work environmentHow to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to send their CV to:osanda@lankaacademy.lkIf you know someone suitable for this role, feel free to share or tag them.
