Based at No. 5, Alfred Place, Colombo 03, and registered with the Sri Lanka Foreign Bureau of Employment, Amrak connects qualified allied health professionals with in-demand roles in the healthcare sector.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Student Counselor role based in Colombo. The Student Counselor will guide prospective and current learners on program selection, admission requirements, and academic pathways, including international progression opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in person, and supporting students with educational, career, and personal development concerns. The role also involves maintaining accurate student records, coordinating with academic and administrative teams, and contributing to outreach activities such as information sessions, open days, and school visits. The Student Counselor will provide high-quality, empathetic support to ensure a positive student experience from initial contact through course completion.Qualifications Strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in academic and professional decision-making.Excellent Communication and Customer Service abilities to interact effectively with students, families, and internal stakeholders.Sound understanding of Education pathways, qualification frameworks, and healthcare-related academic programs.Relevant diploma or degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field.Previous experience in student advisory services, academic counseling, or admissions within an educational or healthcare institution is an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Colombo, manage multiple inquiries, and maintain organized documentation and follow-up.Proficiency in basic office software and comfort with online communication platforms for student support.Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory student guidance.
