This role is ideal for someone who enjoys communicating with students, understanding their goals, providing guidance, and supporting them throughout their study-abroad journey.Key Responsibilities As a Student Counselor, you will be responsible for managing the student counseling process from initial inquiry through enrollment, including:Handling student inquiries through calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channelsConducting initial consultations and understanding students' academic backgrounds, goals, and requirementsProviding accurate information about countries, universities, courses, intakes, and available pathwaysGuiding students through the application and enrollment processFollowing up with prospective students and maintaining consistent communicationHandling student questions and addressing concerns professionallyMaintaining accurate student records, counseling notes, and follow-up statusCoordinating with internal teams to support smooth applications and admissionsBuilding positive relationships with students and parentsSupporting education fairs, seminars, open days, and other student outreach activities when requiredContributing to team targets and overall student enrollment goalsWhat we're looking forWe are looking for someone who is:Confident, professional, and presentableExcellent in verbal and written communicationComfortable speaking with students and parentsStrong in follow-up, relationship building, and customer serviceOrganized and able to manage multiple student inquiries simultaneouslyTarget-oriented and motivated to achieve resultsAble to work independently as well as part of a teamProficient in EnglishFluent in Sinhala and/or Tamil is an advantagePrevious experience in student counseling, education consultancy, sales, or customer service is preferredFresh graduates with the right attitude, communication skills, and willingness to learn are encouraged to applyHow to apply Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV through LinkedIn or send it to:osanda@lankaacademy.lkIf you know someone who may be suitable for this opportunity, feel free to share this job with them.
