The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive environment through student services, counseling, developmental programming, and crisis management. This role involves close collaboration with students, faculty, and staff to enhance the overall student experience.Key Responsibilities:Student Support and Counseling: Provide academic, career, and personal counseling to students, addressing concerns such as academic performance, stress management, and career planning. Conduct individual and group sessions to guide students in overcoming challenges and achieving personal and academic success. Program Development and Management: Design, implement, and assess student-centered programs and workshops that enhance academic skills, career readiness, leadership, and personal development. Coordinate orientation programs, extracurricular activities, and leadership development initiatives. Advising and Mentoring: Advise student organizations and activities, offering leadership and organizational support. Establish and manage mentorship programs connecting students with faculty, alumni, and industry professionals. Academic Support Coordination: Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to identify students at risk and implement support strategies. Promote academic resources such as study skills sessions, tutoring, and peer mentoring. Student Engagement: Foster student involvement in college activities, including academic clubs, volunteer opportunities, and professional associations. Support and facilitate student-led initiatives that align with the college’s mission and values. Crisis Management: Respond to student-related crises, providing immediate support and referrals to appropriate campus services. Develop strategies for early intervention and prevention of student crises. Policy and Compliance: Assist in developing and updating student policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness, equity, and compliance with institutional standards. Ensure alignment with accreditation and legal requirements related to student affairs. Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication channels with students, faculty, and staff. Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to expand student services and developmental opportunities. RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Student Affairs, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in student affairs, counseling, or student services, preferably in a higher education or medical college setting. Skills and Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Experience in program design, implementation, and event coordination. Proficiency in using student information systems and standard office software. Familiarity with student development theories and best practices.
